Annotated Report

Web Design Annotations:

For my website, I decided to develop a colour scheme, logo and theme that was consistent and present throughout my blog. I believe that I was successful in this. The colour story follows a modern and bright theme with aspects of the recognisable and memorable colours of Westminster. This is continued throughout my site into the logo which follows the colours of the thumbnail header. If I could improve upon my website, I would aim to follow the theme of the header throughout the blog. The colours and shapes would flow down the page and be incorporated into the post.

Creative Writing Annotations:

In terms of my creative writing (review), I believe that this was very successful. I was able to identify struggles and achievement within the performance and discuss them in depth. With opinions discussed from several experience levels of theatre goer. Discussing the specific aspects of theatre including lighting, costume, ensemble and choreography. If I were to improve upon my review, I would aim to fit more counterpoints in without going over the word limit. This area of the assignment challenged me greatly.

Video Annotations:

For my video, I wanted to create a sophisticated montage of the theatres of Westminster that urges people to explore the arts rather than the sites to see. I think my video achieves this in a very creative and calm way. The music creates a scene of high-class with the contrast of the darkness of the site-seeing spots. I think that this video promotes the theatres in a very positive light and makes the viewer feel positively about the arts. If I were to improve on any aspect of the video, I would add more audio over the second half of the video in which I am discussing the importance of the arts.

Audio Annotations:

In terms of audio, I believe that the podcast created a change to the usual montage work I create when given a brief such as this. The podcast aimed to provide other peoples views on the theatres of Westminster. I think it was successful in that aspect. However, there are many things to improve on. In my opinion, the podcast requires more depth and dynamics. Layering, to me, is one of the most important aspects of an audio to make it more interesting to listen to. I would achieve this by interviewing several people and layering their voices on top of each other.
